www.tokiohotelstreetteam.co.uk/   "Tokio Hotel says hi to THUKST! The THUKST was very lucky to be granted a few minutes with Tokio Hotel prior to their Helsinki concert on 7th March 2010. We took the opportunity to ask them to record a shout out to the THUKST and sign a couple of things for the UK fans to win.Bill was eager to start signing but Georg had to come to the rescue being the only one who actually brought along a pen! The band signed a Union Flag (the one they’re holding in the picture) and a Swedish tour poster we picked up in Stockholm. It has the tiny quirk of Tom’s signature being the only one that’s not on himself at the bottom of the poster, but actually across Bill’s face. XD The guys smiled a lot (except Gustav :P ) and were very polite and attentive with us. We are very grateful that they took some time out of what must have been a rather stressful day for them. While they signed we engaged in a little bit of small talk about the cancelled signing and the fact that they got stuck in the ice on the way to Helsinki. It was followed by us being very British and mentioning the weather…more precisely the cold! Bill agreed and said they were all wrapped up warm, waving his gloved hands around to emphasise. When asked if they would record a short hi to the THUKST the boys immediately agreed and happily got into position. With the meeting being arranged at the last minute, we had to improvise a little! Not only with the things we got them to sign, but also with what we could give to them. Before they left we handed them a bag with sweets we collected on our travels and a note from the THUKST. As they made their way out of the room Tom mentioned to us that night’s show would be slightly different because some parts of the production didn’t arrive in time due to being stuck in the ice. Nonetheless, it turned out to be a fantastic concert and both the band and the fans seemed to have a blast! We sure did! Visão Júnior - #70/10      "Tokio Hotel in Portugal The four friends who created a band could never imagine that, one day, they would be famous through all planetAt the age of 13, the twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz already recorded the album of their career. But only three years after, in 2005, they created Tokio Hotel. The name of the band it's a tribute to the favourite city of the band, capital of Japan, Tokyo. Since the release of their first album in English - Scream, in 2007 - the band never stopped. Because they are always travelling, the band members have afar school. Just with their tour last year they went to more than 12 countries, Portugal included. After this tour, when they were back home, Tokio Hotel went on studio to record their new album in two versions, onde in English and the other in German, the mother-language of the band members. Humanoid was released in the end of the last year and their song Automatic is already playing in every single radio, The band plays Rock and Pop, a lot of times, their music style is called «emo», a style where the song lyrics are very emotional because they talk about deep feeling, such as love. The lead singer, Bill Kaulitz, writes a lot of songs and confesses that the biggest philosophy of the band is to encourage their fans to fight for their dreams. After all, Tokio Hotel also fought for theirs, and they could make it! Patrícia, 14 years, Beja Tom: We participated in our first MTV EMA (Europe Music Anniversary) in Lisbon, and that's what connect us to Portugal! In those times, we were completely unknown in Portugal and we had the chance to explore Lisbon as real tourists. It's an amazing city! We enjoyed to be there and we would love to stay some more days this time but, unfortunately, we will have to leave to go to another Chocolate. You are always on tour. Beside the concerts and interviews, do you have time to explore the places you visit? Inês Vaz, 13 years, Bragança Bill: Sometimes our schedule is so hard that we almost don't have time to leave the hotel. But we always try to leave at least to lunch and dinner. Sometimes, we dress each other and we leave the hotel incognito. In the next interview I can reveal what Tow will dress... Your last album is about sci-fi and your feelings. How do you imagine the world in ten years from now and your life in this world? Alexandra, 13 years, Aveiro Tom: I can imagine Georg finally having decent bass lessons! And Bill will keep trying to convince me to wear tight jeans! Gustav: I clearly see Tom spending all his money on alimony (for his ex-wifes)! What's the music you hear now (from Tokio Hotel or from another band)? Bia Sousa Bill: Because we are in the middle of the rehearsals to the tour, we spend most of the day listening to our own songs. The most important it's the location. It would have to be a place where the weather was warm a lot of times, such as Lisbon. Which are the common things of your life that you miss the most? Márcia Bernardo, 17 years, Porto Bill: Shop in supermarkets. It might be strange, but I miss to walk around there and choose among all those fruits and candies! What's the best thing a fan can told you? Inês Trabucho Bill: Something about their private life - that means a lot to me. That's why I love meet with the fans and signing sessions. We have the opportunity to see the personal vision of what makes our fans' world move. How are the green-rooms? Who is the funniest? Who's the calmest one? Who's the most stubborn? Adriana Martins, 15 years, Oleiros Georg: Oh!, Gustav can be the most stubborn! Gustav: And Georg is the most grumpy morning. This means he is always pissed off and in a bad mood when he gets up in the morning. Bill: Tom does the best sandwiches, it might be the only thing he does the best. Official statement by TOPconcert about the cancellationsTH's management initiated the cancellation of the concerts. The Russian promoter had met the conditions necessary for the concerts to go ahead. These included financial commitments to the band and to its contractors.We insist that the Russian promoter is not to blame in wrecking the concerts, as the band's management would not have started the show in St.Petersburg with the performance of supporting group, Pro100Мария;. If the promoter, TOPconcert, had been at fault, they would have announced to the audience the problems they faced and would not have left for Moscow. The only comment published by the band's management was an ambiguous version of events. Moreover, the band and its management flatly refused to give any comments and explanations to the Russian media. This isn't the first time tours and concerts have been cancelled by the band. Tatyana Dalskaya, director of TOPconcert, has successfully organized all previous visits of the band to Russia, including the very first Chocolate outside of Germany. We extend our sincerest apologies to all Russian fans for the disappointment and inconvenience caused by the cancellation of concerts. The band made huge compromises to make the shows still happen. But they got violated as well, again and again. There was no chance to find a reliable base to make the show happen.
